The New Single Stack Glock 43 9mm

glock43-leftLike a lot of people I’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of the Glock single stack 9mm… I’ve waited. And waited. And waited some more… And now it’s finally coming out. The .380 did not trip my trigger but I’ve been excited to get my hands on it’s bigger brother.

Here is what Glock has to say about the new kid in town:

  •  The G43 is the most highly desired and anticipated release in GLOCK history.
  • The design of the new G43 allow for a more comfortable and confident shooting experience for all types of users.
  • From the 64 grain to the 147 grain bullet, the all new G43 will function within the full spectrum of available ammunition.
  • 6 round magazine.

Honestly I’m doubtful I’ll like going from 15 rounds to 6 rounds but I can see times when the 43 would be a more acceptable companion. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it… And building some holsters.

Lenwood will produce the Wraith and Specter holsters to fit the Glock 43. I’ll test to see if it will be an appropriate fit for our forthcoming pocket holster. Stay tuned and I’ll let you know.

Home Preparations for Winter

Well I know this post isn’t really about leather. But I’m interested in lots of things and I intend to write on them when I think it’ll be helpful or just when I want to.

I’m planning to take a day or two to get the house ready for winter. This weekend is deer season and the weather man says cold and snow!

I could type up a list for you but why recreate the wheel when Bob Vila has already done the hard work.

Check out this link for a good list of things to take care of on your home as winter approaches.
